Attachments allows users with edit privileges to attach additional documentation or information to an item. These attachments can be files of most any type (Word, Excel, pdf, jpeg, mov, avi, wav, etc.) or URL which will provide a link from within SeeSOR to additional information or documentation (eg., a link to an on-line reference document).
The Attachments function is available in the following functional areas:
1. Reports
2. QA Plans
3. Inspection Results
4. Corrective Actions
5. Corrective Action Response
6. Corrective Action Acceptance
To attach a document perform the following:
First navigate to the item which you want to attach something. In the screenshot below it is the inspection that was done on 17 May 2011 by Den Bre of line item 1.1.1.
Click the paperclip icon on the screen displaying the data to which the attachment is to be related.

Click on the paper clip icon in the Line item – Inspections panel header
NOTE: you may need to select “All” in the List inspections performed in the last x days:” option.
The Attachments panel will then appear as above.
Select the “File” option (if the intended attachment is to be a link to a URL then leave the selection as URL).
Click “Choose file”

Using your computers navigation process (unique to your computer, NOT a SeeSOR function) navigate to the file you wish to upload to SeeSOR, see sample above.
CAUTION: Be careful with the choice of file names. All files stored on SeeSOR must be unique. If a file with the same name is uploaded that file will be access for all cases where the attachment file was the same name (i.e., Scan0012.pdf).
NOTE: Delete and Overwrite are assigned user privileges. It is recommended that the general user not be allowed either Delete or Overwrite privileges. This will allow the SeeSOR Enterprise Administrator to control the integrity of the files uploaded. There are no controls of what users can upload. The use if the Attachment Report provides a full audit trail of all Attachment activity (see instructions on the Attachment Report).
Click (or double click) on the file name you want to upload. You will see the file name you selected next to the “Choose File” button (see below).
