Wiki/SeeSOR.NET FAQs/Is "Acceptance" the same as closing a CA?

Yes (sort of). When you "Accept" a CA you can select "Accepted (Open)" or "Accepted (Closed)". Accepted (Open) allows you to modify the CA at a later date (like after a solution is implemented and proven successful), including change the acceptance to "Not Accepted" (which will reactivate the clock). If "Accepted (Closed)" is selected the CA can never be modified. Most summary reports only report CAs as "Open" or "Closed" and "Closed" includes both options. In the Corrective Action function (Inspections>Corrective Actions) the on-screen display in the CA Status column shows the status complete detail as either Closed (= "Accepted (Closed)), Accepted (="Accepted (Open)), Acceptance Pending or Response Pending.

The Dashboard for Average Resolution Time shows CAs that have been Accepted as either Open or Closed. The Dashboard Pending CAs shows all CAs with the status of either Response Pending or Acceptance Pending.
