Creating the SeeSOR Database

The first step is to identify the Requirements that are to be monitored. It is necessary to specify the requirements in the following format for each deliverable:

  1. Line Item Number
  2. Requirement Title
  3. Major Requirement
  4. Related Information
  5. Estimated Quantity (optional)
  6. Performance Standard

This exercise is helpful if converting from a narrative service contract since it will assist you in identifying each outcome you wish to monitor and track.

Requirements should be grouped into a logical organization. For example, all requirements related to Food Service should be located together in one Section and all requirements related to Grounds Maintenance should be located in another Section.

This development can be done in a word processor table or a spreadsheet. The information can then be uploaded into the SeeSOR Microsoft Access database that can be provided by ASC Group. The Access database is then converted to a Microsoft SQL Server database using the instruction sheet for up-sizing provided by ASC Group. This is the best way to enter a large amount of data, single requirements or "Line Items" (additions, deletions or modifications) are entered in the "Requirements" function of SeeSOR.NET.

A list of locations or sites should be determined if it is desired to track performance to a site or location (like different bases, facilities, etc.).
