Optimize Performance of SeeSOR.NET
You will get slightly different results when viewing SeeSOR.NET depending on which browser you use. Our test indicate that Firefox and Safari will be the fastest and generally provide the best performance. Internet Explorer can work well but may require adjustment to settings and may require some work a rounds.
If SeeSOR appears to be running slowly try the following:
- In the top pull-down menu of the IE browser select Tools
- Then select Internet Options
- Under "Browser History" select Settings
- Next to "Disk Space to use" select the maximum setting (1024).
On-screen navigational buttons missing.
In rare cases it has been reported that some SeeSOR navigational buttons (such as "OK" and "Cancel" above) are missing from the screen. This issue is unique to individual computer settings. If this occurs we suggest you try the following:
Enable scripting In Internet Explorer:
- Close SeeSOR.
- Open Internet Explorer (or other browser).
- From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
- Select Security.
- Select a zone to view or change security settings, then click Custom Level.
- Scroll down to Scripting, and then find Active scripting and select Enable.
- Select OK, and then select Yes to confirm, and then select OK to close the Internet Options window.
- Open SeeSOR.
All buttons should be there, and all links restored.
Reported when entering Corrective Actions (to input New Corrective Action comments) when using IE6 but can happen in IE7 under certain conditions.
This may occur if your display resolution is set too low or if optional increased text size is selected. To view the navigation buttons you can adjust your display resolution setting and/or you can select to hide the task bar that is taking up screen space. You may also which to hide discretionary menu bars in your browser to create a larger viewing space.
Adjusting your display resolution
- Click Start, Settings, Control Panel
- Click Display
- Click the Settings tab
- Adjust the Screen Resolution to highest value viewable on your monitor by manipulating the slider as necessary.
- Click OK to apply the change, then close the window.
To reduce text size
- Click Start, Settings, Control Panel
- Click Display
- Click the Appearance tab
- Under "Font Size" select a smaller option.
- Click OK to apply the change, then close the window.
If you use IE6 some dialogue boxes may not appear. If you think you are missing the next action box try the following:
- In the top pull-down menu of the IE browser select Tools
- Then select Internet Options - Click OK
- Move the scroll bars (left-right and up-down) will center in the screen any dialogue box that was missing from the screen.
