Repeat Corrective Actions

Repeat Corrective Actions (CAs) is a bar chart that shows the number of requirements that have more than one CA. This is a measure of how effective serious performance issues are corrected and can indicate a failure to follow-up on solutions that are implemented to remedy problems.

The chart above indicates that there are two requirements (Line Item Count) that each have three CAs in the time period indicated (17 March 2008 to 17 March 2010). By clicking on "more-->" the full Repeat CA Details function (see below).

From this screen the user can change the date range to for repeat CAs (the shorter the date range with multiple repeat CAs the greater the probability that rectification actions are not effective).

The minimum number of repeat CAs can be determined to examine for only more serious repeat occurrences.

At the bottom of the screen will the the list of those requirements that repeat. Clicking on the blue underlined Line Items will call-up the actual CA with the associated documentation.

By comparing the issues discussed in each of the CA an assessment of the facts can be made to determine if any of the repeat CA are a result of poor rectification of the same issue or if the issues are all unrelated.
